Why a Goldador?

By combining two of Australia’s most popular breeds; The Golden Retriever and Labrador Retriever we are able to bring together the loveable traits of both breeds while improving health results with our dedicated multi generational breeding program.

With extensive health screening and the support of a geneticist and breeding specialist we will continue to step towards Goldadors being the ultimate family dog for future generations.

Goldadors are known for their devoted loving personalities, adventurous spirits and playful yet gentle natures with children.

They excel in areas such as guide dogs, school therapy dogs, canine court companions and being very beloved family pets.

 Standard of excellence

  • Our dogs are a big part of our busy day-to-day family life and live with us on our 40 acre farm in the Lower Hunter Valley, NSW (40min from Newcastle & 1hr 45min from Sydney CBD). My full time job revolves around their care and I love exploring the countryside with them on our daily adventures.

Our passion for raising puppies is a joyful family effort. We adore watching them grow, explore and learn about the world around them.

Gentle training for puppies starts from day one with the puppies being born in our home and being exposed to all the sounds, smells and sights of a busy household. ENS & ESI training start from day 3 to day 16. We focus daily on the areas of reward based training and shaping desired behaviours with repetitive positive reinforcement with Puppy Culture as a guide.

As the puppies get older our business working full-time with family dogs provide the opportunity for the puppies to have the added safe exposure of interacting with vaccinated dogs of all shapes and sizes to build their social skills.

Our son and daughter (age 7 and 13) are fundamental in the puppies positive early learning experiences with children. The puppies also join us for early car rides, errands and school runs so they are comfortable and familiar with all aspects of busy family life.

  • To be part of our breeding program our dogs are extensively health screened and undergo:

    Genetic testing with Orivet Australia

Hip and elbow scoring with radiologist Dr Roger Lavelle

Eye certification with ophthalmology specialist Dr Yvette Crowe

  • We are registered and recognised breeders with RightPaw. Health certification and result verification conducted on 20/09/2024 alongside property and dog welfare checks.

  • Puppies are gradually weaned from their mother between 5 - 7 weeks of age and transitioned to biologically appropriate fresh meals which provide optimal nutrition for their rapid growth.

New owners are supported to continue feeding fresh vet formulated meals with Lyka who offer a 50% off discount code.

  • We support our puppies and their new families with training advice, holiday boarding on our farm and rehoming assistance if ever needed.

Litter plans

All our puppies from our one litter in 2024 have now found homes. A waiting list is currently open for the 1-2 litters planned for 2025.

”We see lots of puppies and I just wanted to say how well-mannered and behaved they were as we rarely see a litter like yours for vaccination. They were mature, calm, patient and responsive to instruction and examination. There was no need to struggle holding them and each and every puppy was a delight to handle.

It just shows how early education of puppies can reap such great rewards”
